Frequently Asked QuestionsF.A.Q.'s
C-pox™ is compatible with all materials, except low-grade recycled plastics and delicate foams. The compatible materials include metals, cast, white and pot metal, wood, particle board, paper, chipboard, cork, carton, masonry products, marble, ceramics, bisque, porcelain, glass, rubber, vinyl, PVC, ABS, polyolefin’s, butyrate’s, styrene’s, laminates, lexan, linoleum, acrylics, polycarbonates, fiberglass, Kevlar, composites, synthetic leather, leather, and textiles. Materials can be bonded to themselves or each other. C-pox™ Bonder can also be mixed with particulates (sawdust, baking soda, etc.) to form a paste. Back to Top
What is the shelf life/best storage for C-pox™? The C-pox™ Bonder is the only component with a shelf life, which is 1-2 years. If not used frequently, store it in the refrigerator or in a cool, dark place. Back to Top
What are the temperature thresholds? @-30 F to @260 F. Back to Top
When and how is C-pox™ shipped? Orders are shipped every Monday and will arrive by ground (UPS, Parcel Post, and First Class Mail). The Bonder is the only component that may be shipped by air (USPS Priority Mail or UPS Next Day). Back to Top
Do the nozzles/micro-needle applicators clog and how are they cleaned? Yes, they will on the Bonder 101. There are two safeguards - one is the pin inside the cap which helps keep the Bonder clear. If it does clog, you may soak the cap and nozzle/micro-needle applicators in a small container of acetone (available in the 'paint thinner' section at the hardware store) or finger nail polish remover (containing acetone) for 2-3 days to clean them. Each C-pox™ System contains an extra Cap & Nozzle Assembly (CN-1). Back to Top
Do you need to use the Activator? Without using the Activator, you will get the results of a standard super glue or epoxy. The Activator not only instantly cures the Bonder, it chemically produces a stronger, permanent bond that will not peel away and is able to withstand sheer and tensile strength tests. Back to Top
Will the Activator harm painted or normal surfaces? If applied properly with a light mist, excess Activator will evaporate upon contact. However, on clear styrene, it has a tendency to craze or fog the surface. This can be avoided by spot-activating with a q-tip, toothpick, or brush cap (BC-1). Back to Top
What is the open time before putting materials together? Generally the amount of Bonder will determine the amount of time from applying the Bonder to putting materials together. You will have at least 1-5 minutes. Activator can still work if the Bonder is still tacky or liquid. Back to Top
How much working time do I have when putting materials together? It depends somewhat on the materials you are working with. Some are more porous than others. Generally, once pressure is applied to the materials being joined, the bond is initiated and it’s too late to re-adjust. However, you are able to spread the Bonder and align your materials, just be certain to avoid adding pressure until your materials are correctly in place. Back to Top
Does C-pox™ work on "slippery" plastic? Yes. This system has been developed for use on all types of plastics. It is the only viable solution (besides a plastic welder) for use on materials such as UHMW, Delrin®, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Nylon, Teflon®, ABS. You will find these high density plastics in the form of children’s toys, car dashboards and bumpers, appliances, tools, electronics, etc. Success with bonding these plastics is achieved with using our Plastic Primer 302 to prepare the surface before applying the Bonder and Activator. Back to Top
What if my C-pox™ isn’t working up to my expectations? The system and components are completely guaranteed. We ask that you first contact us to ensure that you are using it properly. We can usually help you right over the phone. After speaking with us, if you are still not satisfied, you may return it to us for a full refund, along with the cost of the postage to send it to us. Back to Top

What is the Preferred Pricing Code (PP Code)? The Preferred Pricing Code is a four digit code that allows you to purchase C-pox™ Systems, Components, and Accessories at a 30-50% below Retail. Back to Top
Do you have any Opportunities available? Yes, we have Dealer Pricing. The first pre-requisite is that you first purchase and use the C-pox™ Bonding System. Once you do that and find you are happy with our product, contact us for further details. Back to Top
Is this product available in stores? No. Currently the product is available directly through us. We are seeking small, qualified stores to carry our product. Back to Top
I have run out of some of my C-pox™ components, can I purchase them individually? After purchasing the complete Bonding System (RCS-1 or DCS-2), you have the option of buying the individual components. You don’t have to buy an entire system every time you run out of something. Back to Top
Why is C-pox™ different from ordinary super/instant glues and epoxies? The C-pox™ Bonding System is an Industrial Grade Adhesive,
giving it a faster set-up time and a permanent, long-term bond and strength.
This product is also compatible with literally ALL materials, including high
density plastics. Because of this, you can now have one adhesive system for
every task. Another difference is the shelf life. Our Bonder has a shelf life
of 1-2 years. You will have the chance to use up the entire product before it
expires, without the common headaches of clogged nozzles, mixing equal parts,
long curing time, sticky fingers and on and on...you know the story Back to Top
What industries is C-pox™ used in? Because of the many uses of this product, it is used in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, farming, hobby, and medical. Back to Top
Do I need additional Accessories? An extra cap and nozzle assembly (CN-1), as well as two microneedle applicators (MN-1) are included with the purchase of any Regular or Deluxe C-pox™ Bonding System (RCS-1 or DCS-2). The additional Accessories aren’t a necessity, but do help work to be more efficient for certain applications. Back to Top
How did the C-pox™ Bonding System come to be? Gowest2 International is the developer of The C-pox™ Bonding System, with the experience of talking one on one with thousands of people the past few years at numerous hobby, farm, woodworking, and car shows. The C-pox™ Bonding System has been developed by taking all of the compliments and criticisms into consideration to bring a product that is designed for the Technological Age that we live in. Back to Top
What is the life of the bonded material? If applied properly, the material or bond should not come apart or deteriorate. The chemical reaction caused by the Activator causes the Bonder to integrate in the pores of the material, providing a strong and lasting bond. Back to Top
Low-grade recycled plastics (i.e., milk jug) and delicate foams like styro-foam. Back to Top
How can I order the C-pox Bonding System and components? You may order online or by telephone, fax, and mail. We accept checks, money orders, Mastercard and Visa. All orders are prepayment. Back to Top
Will C-pox™ hold up under the elements? Yes, assuming it is applied properly, water, gas, oil, sunlight will not break the bond once it is set. Acetone is the only solvent. Back to Top
Instantly you receive about 50 percent of your cure strength. 20 minutes is 95 percent cure and 24 hours is full cure. However, initial strength is usually sufficient for most applications. If the bond is not holding instantly, it is probably not going to hold up long term. Back to Top
Is there a solvent to remove the Bonder? Debonder 401 (CD401-1) is designed primarily for use on your skin. It can also clean up the outside of a bondline if there is excess Bonder. It cannot take apart materials. The only way to break a bond is to submerge the materials in Acetone (available at hardware stores) or finger nail polish remover for 1-5 days. Back to Top
How many applications per 1 oz. bottle of Bonder? One free falling drop of Bonder covers one square inch. There are approximately 500 applications of that size in a one ounce bottle. Back to Top
Are there larger quantities available? Yes. For larger quantities than those listed on our website, contact us for more information. If you are interested in larger, industrial quantities, we recommend buying a smaller quantity first to test on your application. We can deliver as much product as you need, simply utilize our feedback form on our Customer Support page. Back to Top
